  • Twenty four (24) hour per day, seven days per week access to professional mental health and substance abuse utilization staff.
  • Toll-free 800 number
  • Clinical triage for each individual requesting precertification for mental health or substance abuse treatment.
  • A comprehensive assessment of the presenting problem and evaluation of any prior treatment.
  • Precertification of all in-network mental health and substance abuse treatment including inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services.
  • Referrals to appropriate caregivers
  • Concurrent review and continued stay review to determine the continued appropriateness of the intensity of care being rendered.
  • Discharge planning assistance for all precertified care to assist the covered individual in making the transition from one level of care to another.
  • Quality assessment survey services and reports with regard to client response to care.
  • Data and reports which identify services and treatment authorized.
